Professor Vimal Thorat is one of the senior most Dalit feminist leaders of India. Prof. Thorat is the current Convener at the National Campaign on Dalit Human Rights (NCDHR) and former professor of Hindi at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Abhirami Jotheeswaran

Abirami joined NCDHR in 2005. She has a vast and deep experience on Dalit Human Rights, Dalit women's Rights, and monitoring cases of caste induced gender based violence atrocities. As a Dalit Woman, she is extremely passionate about Dalit Women's assertion for access to justice as well as their economic empowerment. She is a lawyer and is currently the General Secretary of AIDMAM. She represents Dalit women's voices on many national and international fronts.

Research & Advocacy Officer

Prameela K P is a Dalit women scholar who has completed her Ph D in Gender Studies from Centre for Women's Studies, University of Hyderabad. She worked on "Caste and Gender Politics of Representation in Print Media: A study on News Writing in Caste Violence against Dalit Women", who participated in Anti- Caste movements in Kerala. Her engagement in the Ambedkarite movement started during her university education. She has presented papers in the conferences and published her works on Caste and gender politics with Dalit feminist standpoint. She is also learning Socio- Political Psychotherapy and interested in developing her perspectives on Caste and gender informed mental health as well.

Bhavna completed her Masters in Development Communication and Extension from Lady Irwin College and ever since has been working for women's and girls' rights in Health, Education, and Livelihood in different northern states. With an intersectional lens, she strongly advocates for equity and the promotion of leadership among Dalit women for assertion of their rights and thereof prevent any human rights violation.

Pradeep brings enormous experience of working in the finance sector for more than 26 years. He joined AIDMAM in 2006 and currently serving as a financial executive in the organization.

Seema holds experience in handling reporting and editing in the print media as a sub-editor in a magazine. She is passionate about serving in the development sector by contributing to research and legal advocacy for Dalit women and minor girls. She wants to bring a positive impact on society through her work.
